Unplug

Kinda funny, I saw a tv advertisement telling adults how they can use special features to make sure kids don't watch programs that are not suitable for them. I got a better idea, instead of having to learn to program the tv and telling them why they shouldn't watch certain shows, why not just unplug the thing and tell them that they are not allowed to watch anything without a parent present? Growing up I didn't lay around and veg out in front of the tube for hours on end, and I didn't try to watch things that where "bad", and the reason was simple: My dad made it clear that the tv was his, hands off and I could only watch it if he turned it on. Simple, to the point, and it worked. I pulled the plug on my tv viewing and found that it gave me extra time for projects, hobbies, and things I needed to get done. Not sure why I wanted to post all of this, something to do while I am online.
