Statuary Hall

If you get the chance to visit our nation's capital any time soon, go check out statuary hall. The state of Alabama has made a new statue commemorating Helen Keller, and it is now out on display. This is the first time in history that someone with a disability has been honored with a bronze likeness of themselves at statuary hall. Also, it is the first time in history a statue of a child has been displayed, it was made to portray her at age 7.
