Inside my mind

I'll get to it eventually

Wow, almost one month in between posts. What all has happened between then and now, hmmmm. First off I accepted a new job, no more working for school districts. So far I like the people I work with and the job I do, plus the pay is nicer, lol. I got sent out of town for some training after only being on the job for two days, it was a new experience for me. It was the first time I ever took a trip for that long by myself, last two trips I made where I drove a good distance I had my little co-pilot Wendy with me. A 3 1/2 hour drive that lead me from a little 2 lane highway to a 6 lane interstate, and at one point I took my rental car up to 105 mph. With that fact I would just like to celebrate the fact that I have finally driven a car into triple digits, but I don't plan on doing it ever again. It was fun to think about it and experience it for a few seconds but I am not so crazy that I want to kill myself in a car accident, and also Wendy has lectured me on the consequences of driving too fast (sorry honey). Speaking of her, next month we will mark the fact that we will have been together for 2 years. Amazing that one female could put up with me for that amount of time and still find some use for me, but as long as she is willing to keep me I plan on holding on to her and never letting go. Back to some more catching up, I was moved in my duties at the ballpark. I no longer announce the on-field events and such, instead I sell merchandise in the stands. I actually don't mind the switch, the hours of the different position work out great with my regular work hours, and at the end of the night I have something tangible to show to myself and my supervisor that I did my job to the best of my abilities (my running average is I sell about 30% of the total merchandise sales). My wonderful little mustang is back in the shop again after some struggles with starting. Turns out the fuel pump was going bad on it, so out with the old and in with the new (and eventually in with a "For Sale" sign if I can work out a few details and ponder some things). Well, that is all for now, I made the discovery that our bodies need sleep in order to function properly.

Happy 4th of July!

This Independence Day I want to make two thank yous. First, to God, for giving us independence and freedom through His son Jesus Christ. Second, to our active military and veterans for defending this nation and protecting the freedom of its citizens.
