Inside my mind

Random thoughts

So I realized today that whenever I have a job with some company I kinda like to show it off. Case in point: I got my check today from the school I work at, and on Fridays we need to wear our school spirit shirt. Well, normally when I get home I might change, but today I went to the bank still dressed up from work, complete with my ID badge around my neck. Kinda gives me a sense of pride for some odd reason, maybe it is because I am legally paying my bills (and before you ask, I have never done anything illegal to pay my bills). Also, it pays to shop around and compare numbers. I was looking at my cell phone bill today, and I like my service and have never complained about the cost ($40 plus tax for more minutes then I could ever use, nights and weekends, long distance, yadda yadda yadda), but I did some research and discovered that when my contract is up I have the opportunity to save almost $100 a year on my bill. I looked at my usage, looked at features and taxes, ran some numbers, and realized it will be a lot cheaper to go to a smaller plan, and they offer one that would still give me enough minutes so I don't get charged extra for going over.

Early to rise

So I woke up earlier then normal today because I thought I had to be at work earlier for a staff picture, turns out I read the date wrong, it is tomorrow morning. That means I woke up early for nothing today, have to still get up early tomorrow, and then wake up early for a Diabetes walk on Saturday. The early bird may get the worm, but I bet he also suffers from indigestion.

Insert coin to continue

I have made a discovery: The more time I spend working and doing meaningful things, the less I seem to have to say on here. I think it is because after a while my mind just turns to mush. Having said that I have nothing else to say because it was a long day.

Floating along

That is what I almost did in my mustang tonight. I was on my way to work a one night job of being a valet parker, when we started to get a really bad downpour of rain (complete with hail). The water was up and over the curbs in my neighborhood and I had to drive though a big dip in the road that was completely under water. Just has fast has it came, it went. They called off doing the valet thing because all the rain washed away all the numbers on the ground. I did get the opportunity to get some food at Wendy's before I went over. All I can say is the food there is finger licking good! Seriously, if you want to eat some fast food soon, go and give them a chance because they are still hurting from that false lawsuit that was brought against them.

Still here

Sorry it has been a while since I said anything here. I am still alive and well, but haven't had anything really interesting to say. Friday is here, got 2 days to recover from work and have a little bit of fun in the process. Tomorrow I get to do a one night job for a temp service being a valet car parker. Well, that is all for now, take care and God bless :-)

OK

I admit, for as much talking as I do (and believe me, I can talk a whole lot), I still can come up short in the communication department. In other words my lips flap and stuff comes out, but it doesn't do much good.

Good sign

A good sign that the bike ride I went on was good and long, When I got done nothing from my day was on my mind except what I did while I was on my bike, the rest of the day kinda melted away. Ahh, the open road, the wind in my hair, and the bugs in my teeth, gotta love it.

Investing

Today, after work, I think I made an investment that might have doubled the value of my car. I went and got gas. I also want to say happy b-day to Melissa.

One word: OUCH!

I say that in relation to the price of gas, its crazy! The sad part is that it may never get down below $2 ever again, or maybe just for a little while. We live in a world where we like to be mobile, and need to be in order to work and live, so the demand is going to do nothing but go up and up, and if that demand starts getting past the supply, then the price is going to continue to go up as well. Thankfully I can still get out and run errands and go places on my mountain bike, which is what I am off to do right now.

Decency laws?

So the big topic of decency laws is on TV, with heavier fines and keeping a close eye on live events. My question is where have these laws been when it comes to the radio? People freak out over language and sex on TV, but many songs that are on popular secular radio are filled with messages about sex, drugs, and violence, along with some profanity depending upon the station. I think radio should be attacked just as much when it comes to decency has TV is.

Spring time

Ah, spring, the time when a young man's fancy turns to.... Baseball! Ok, maybe just my fancy turns to baseball, but whatever. Baseball season is now in full effect, and once again I am backing the St. Louis Cardinals. Play ball.

To the NAU Education Major students

This post is dedicated to you all. Your hard work, determination, and focus will make you all outstanding teachers in the near future. I know future generations are going to succeed because you will be teaching them and helping them reach their full potential. Congratulations on what you have accomplished so far, and keep up the good work! Oh, and if you can read this I would like to say hello to my love muffin Wendy T.

Fair and stuff

Went to the fair the other night. I didn't go on as many of the intense rides that I normally go on, but I still had a fun time. I think I might be getting old or something because it took me longer then normal to recover from the rides. Oh well, it is to be expected at some point in time. Spring break is now over for me, back to work again on Monday, it was an enjoyable break but I am also looking forward to being back at work (hey, gotta pay the bills somehow).

Shoe dropping

Waiting for the other shoe to drop. I may have this all wrong but to me that means that you are waiting for something bad to happen because you feel something is coming. I can't stand that feeling, and that is where I have a problem, sometimes I feel that something bad is headed my way because I feel that maybe I did something wrong. It is one thing to know you did something wrong, but it is another to think that the absolute worst is going to happen.

Going around

Today I put about 50 miles on my car, and never went out of town. I drove to a military testing facility to pick up an application to fill out, I was told about a job opportunity there. Work went well, not much else to say right now, I feel worn out.

April fools and stuff

Well, last year on my website I pulled an April fools day prank in a post telling everyone I was running away to Vegas to marry some girl I just met. Well, this year I have no witty prank to pull. Happy B-day to Deborah T!!!!! :-D Also, something that has come back into my mind recently is how it is told that all things work together for those who are in Christ. Sometimes that is hard to accept because it says all things, not just some. This means the good, along with the bad, will lead to something God has intended for you. I just wish sometimes I didn't have to see some bad things happen to people I know, even though things do get better eventually.
